Just as with the move from desktops to laptops, the transition to tablets (or “pads” as Canalys humorously refers to them) is underway.

“But, but, but… it doesn’t run PC software!” Who gives a shit? Clearly not the people buying millions of the devices each quarter.
All you need to know about the “is the iPad a PC?” argument: are people buying them instead of traditional PCs? Sure looks like it.

JUST CAN’T WAIT!
If you don’t already know, I have an old, used, unjailbreakable (won’t DFU), broken (vibrate no longer works) iPhone 3G. It was the best birthday present ever next to my iPod touch, but is no longer up to speed, or anything really. I have been saving for a new iPhone and now have enough, I would just go get an iPhone 4 now, but, I know that WWDC ‘11 is in June, and that’s about the time the iPhone 5 (or 4gs or 4s or ect.) comes out. Soooooo…. I JUST CANT WAIT FOR A NEW iPHONE!
Apple sold 18.65 MILLION iPhones in the last quarter.
So, sell 2.4 iPhones per second.
Now do it every second of every minute of every day, for 90 days.
That’s what Apple just did.
